The latest focus of Japanese otaku types is a 14-year-old English girl who calls herself Beckii Cruel. The Isle of Man native has developed a growing fan base from the videos that she started posting on YouTube in March. Most of them feature her dancing in her bedroom to J-Pop and anime tunes. Media hype here has compared her to another recent import, Leah Dizon (though their looks and otaku appeal are about the only similarity), and her videos on the local NicoNico Douga site have been viewed over 3 million times. She recently performed at the Enta Matsuri in Tokyo's otaku mecca of Akihabara (photo), with some 600 fans turning up to show their support. It was reported that Nishikido Ryo's flirty fetish has acted up again! On Saturday, 28th July 2008, a Gravure Idol Party was held in a shop in a tall building in Shibuya, Tokyo. A group of male idols were spotted there, including Nishikido Ryo and Shirota Yuu.

According to an unnamed source, minutes after the guys walked in, 4 to 5 girls entered the same shop and although it is not clear if both parties have met before (or have been previously acquainted), they started chatting and the girls escorted the guys to their VIP seats.

As the conversation was getting livelier and the party progressed, Gravure Idol Otomo Sayuri (20) suddenly hugs Nishikido Ryo with a "pyon" (no idea, i guess it's just some onomatopeia for hugging in japan? Soon, Nishikido, Shirota and Otomo left in a taxi speeding away towards Sangenjaya (三軒茶屋). The article called it "o-mochi-kaeri", which means, a take-away. (In this case, it is Nishikido who ordered Otomo Sayuri as his take-away order.)

In the spirit of the performance DJ OZMA was unable to reject her advances, so he had to acquiesce in order not to spoil the party mood. After that however, DJ OZMA remarked, " Sports drinks are good, aren't they?" which threw your Entame blogger into confusion.

Rather non-descript news, if you consider the recent Ohno scandal. Anyway, KAT-TUN's Akanishi Jin (24) and Yamapi (23) were photographed hanging out late into the night on 31st July 2008. The 21st - 28th August issue of Josei Seven (the cover of which is featured above) promises readers two-shot photos of the two Johnny talents.

Story has it that Yamapi recorded on his official Keitai (mobile) diary that he was going to the beach with Akanishi on 1st August, the two were spotted hanging out at Roppongi the night before. After Akanishi had finished a live performance with the rest of KAT-TUN, he and Yamapi met up and walked down the streets, attracting much attention. When female fans discovered their presence, Akanishi reportedly waved gallantly at them, displaying his kakkoii (cool)-ness.

In the end, the two entered a ramen shop where Akanishi seems to frequent (as he greeted the staff there with much familiarity). Another story has it that after meeting at the ramen shop, the two went to a hair salon. Well well.

>> is a Japanese game for at least three players. The name of the game literally means “The Daruma doll fell down.” It bears a resemblance to the English and American children's game Red Light, Green Light, and even more so to the American game "Ghost in the Graveyard". It also resembles the popular Israeli children's game "1,2,3, salted fish". There are many variations of the game and slight rule changes based on region or merely the group of people playing the game. One known variation is that in Osaka and the surrounding area, this game is called "Bosan ga He o koita" (a bonze farted).
One person is chosen as the Oni. All other participants act as common players. Before play begins, a starting line is drawn, and the demon stands at some distance away from the starting line, in front of a tree, wall, or other fixed object.
The game begins with the players shouting "hajime no ippo" (Taking the first step!) As this is shouted, the players on the starting line jump one step in any direction, but usually towards the demon.

INSTRUCTIONS:

The Oni, or the "it" player faces away from the other players towards the tree or the wall, so that he or she cannot see them. "It" then chants a spell: "Daruma-san ga koronda". The other players approach "it" while this spell is spoken aloud, coming as near as possible.

-When "it" finishes saying the spell, he or she can then turn around and look at the players. The players should stop their actions immediately when the last word is spoken and try not to move while "it" is looking at them, or they can be called out. "It" checks to see if any player is moving. If nobody is moving, "it" turns around again, and repeats the spell.

-When "it" does spot somebody moving, he or she calls that player's name. The player whose name is called upon is caught. That player then has to go to the place where "it" is and stand holding one of his or her hands. This player may not run away or help the other players. If all the players are caught in this way by "it" (the captured players chain along, holding each other's hands), the person first caught is the loser and becomes the next "it" person.

-If a player reaches "it" or any caught players, he or she gets to free them from "it". To free them he or she shouts "Kitta!" (I cut you loose) and makes a gesture of slicing between the clasped hands of two players or by touching the back of "it". Freed players run as fast as they can away from "it". Players not freed may not run away. "It" then turns as soon as possible and shouts "Tomare!" (Stop!). Every player must stop immediately at this point, but is not recaptured unless "it" touches them under a certain rule (which varies from area to area).

-For instance, after such a jailbreak, "it" can take up to five steps from where he or she is standing in order to touch other players.
